1988-1993 – undergradute student at the University of Gdańsk (Department of Chemistry).
1993 – M. Sc. in chemistry at the University of Gdańsk (supervisor: Prof. Wiesław Wiczk).
1993 – 1997 – research associate at the University of Gdańsk (Department of Chemistry).
1993 – short-term training period in Quantum Chemistry Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, University of Warsaw (Poland). Supervisor: Prof. Lucjan Piela.
1995 – Scientific award of the Rector of the University of Gdańsk
1997 – Scientific award of the Ministry of Polish Education.
1997 – Individual stipend of the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP).
1997 – Ph. D. in theoretical chemistry (supervisor: Prof. Maciej Gutowski, Pacific Northwest National Lab., USA).
